Vajrapani, Tibeto-Chinese, 18th c.
A gilt-bronze figure of Vajrapani, standing and holding with his right hand the vajra while the left shows the tarjani mudra. Wearing a tiger-skin skirt, scarf floating around his shoulders, bejeweled, his face displaying a wrathful expression with protruding eyes, open mouth showing teeth and fangs and his red colored flaming hair secured by a tiara.
